When we saw Kristen Stewart’s September Nylon cover, it was love at first sight. Always one to be bold with her hair choices, this cover did not disappoint. With hairstylist Adir Abergel‘s take on the classic undone hairstyle, Kristen’s look was all about the “volume, movement, and broken up texture.”
“I knew she was going to have really great pieces and more structured clothing, so I wanted to create something more undone, but still glam with more height and movement to the hair. I’ve been doing Kristin’s hair for almost 13 years, so we’ve really creating this undone, lived in signature style together.”
The inspiration for the look was “about feeling rock ‘n roll and. I wanted the deconstructed separation to happen towards the ends of the hair with lots of glamorous height and hold near the roots.”
TO STYLE:
1. “On damp hair, apply Bumble and bumble thickening spray to the roots and Bumble and bumble mousse all over the hair. Create a deep side part then diffuse to dry with a lot volume.
2. Once strands are dry, create a slight bend with a 1 inch curling iron on just the ends.
3. To deconstruct the hair at the end, I used Sally Hershberger 24K Texturizing Paste with my fingers to only the ends for that rock ‘n roll separation.”
