Although Balmain’s creative director Oliver Rousteing is to thank for bringing these three iconic beauties together to shoot for his Spring/Summer 2016 line, secretly, I’m hailing Shay Ashual as the creative genius here. The wavy texture. The perfectly executed cuts. The exact right amount of gloss. Ugh, *swoon*.
I assume it’s not particularly difficult to make Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell look this stunningly gorgeous, but I also assume it’s not an easy task to come up with fresh looks for models that have been around for as long they have. I love how, in this shoot, the hair is what reminds me that it’s not the 90’s. The styling is so perfectly modern & the execution makes it all look just as effortless and natural as volume did back in the day.
